Be Happy! The Science of Happiness and How to be Happier ~ Monday, 12/11/23 at 6 PM

Do you ever find yourself wishing you could feel happier? Many of us do and we think we will feel happier as a result of something – such as finding a new job, finishing a project, losing 10 pounds, etc. However, psychologists and neurologists are now realizing that happiness can be more readily achieved through changing the way we think. Professor, Lizzie Linn, will explain this revolutionary concept and provide you with practical tools for achieving this new mindset.

Presenter, Lizzie Linn has been teaching in higher education for over 15 years. She received her BA in Philosophy/Religion and her MA in Critical and Creative Thinking. She is working on completing her doctoral studies in Educational Leadership.  Her dissertation focuses on self-awareness and well-being in higher education. She currently teaches interdisciplinary studies at Merrimack College.  Her curriculum also includes a unit on “The Science of Happiness” which looks at happiness through the lens of positive psychology.
