Learn about turkey biology, behavior, the history of wild turkeys in New Hampshire and the reintroduction of turkeys into the state. The wild turkey population represents one of the greatest wildlife conservation success stories in the state’s history.
About the presenter:
Andrew Timmins has worked for the NH Fish and Game Department as a wildlife biologist for 30 years. His career with the agency started in the southwest region of the state working directly with Department’s wildlife turkey biologist at the time. Andrew did his graduate research in New Hampshire on wild turkeys but ultimately served as the Department black bear biologist for 22 years. Currently Andrew works as the Game Programs Supervisor and oversees all game species programs ranging from deer, to waterfowl, to moose.
