Have you ever thought? Wow, Mah Jongg like a really fun and interesting game but how would I ever learn it? Now is your chance. Beginner classes will be offered starting April 18th.
Mah Jongg is a fun rummy-like game played with tiles rather than cards. There are a couple of different versions of Mah Jongg, Chinese Mah Jongg and American Mah Jongg. Instruction will focus on how to play American Mah Jongg and will be following the rules for American Mah Jongg. One of the main differences is that American Mah Jongg uses a card of Standard Hands, against which all games are played. These cards are distributed by the National Mah Jongg League and changed annually.
In order to fully understand the game, we ask that you attend all three sessions on Friday, April 25th, May 2nd and May 9th from 1 to 4:30 PM. After completing the 3 sessions you can feel free to join us for our regularly schedule Time for Mah Jongg each Friday at 1:00.
