Girls Who Code: WEDNESDAYS @6:30-7:45 PM (Register Grades 5~8)

Girls Who Code is a nonprofit organization that teaches girls computer science and programming concepts.Kimball Girls Who Code Club is being run by certified Girls Who Code instructors Pam Livingston, Ellie Linehan, and Kathy Watson.

The program will take place here at the library Wednesdays at 6:30 and gets out at 7:45.  Our first club night will be October 9th. It does not cost anything to participate. The club will take place 3 times a month until the end of May with some additional weeks off–especially vacation weeks, meeting room conflicts, and the first Wednesdays will never be a week we meet. The expectation is that you will come unless you are ill or out of town. The lessons build weekly and to ‘pass’ you need to attend 80% of the meetings.

Questions? Contact Kathy Watson at Please be prepared to bring a Chromebook if you have one. (We do have Lenovo Chromebooks for use during class, too.) This event is for girls in grades 5-8. Mature 5th graders, only, please. We will consider savvy high school girls as facilitators for community service hours or special independent projects.

Timberlane/Hampstead students have preference. Email Kathy Watson to discuss your participation if you are not a Timberlane Regional School District student. We generally do not take new participants after November.
