The current restoration of Atkinson Academy’s bell tower has uncovered an 1803 corner truss beam, setting the stage for this presentation. Join us for a brief historical overview of the Academy’s earliest years, followed by a fascinating presentation by Eric Lindquist of Preservation Timber Framing. Eric will address the early 1800s construction technology applied to the Academy building and the techniques utilized in the bell tower restoration project. The corner truss beam will be on display.
