Come for stories & games! Make a necklace & a book. This event is based on the book ‘Press Here’ by Herve Tullet. So many dots, big and small! Come see them all!

 T/weBirthday-Cakeen Cupcake Wars ‘Libraries Rock’


(Grades 4-12)
Come to the event with 6 undecorated cupcakes. Decorating will take place at the event. Judges will then judge the cupcakes and the winner gets a small prize! They may be any flavor but please stay within the theme of “Libraries Rock”. Rules are online.

Whether you’re a pro at science, tech, engineering & math or you are just being introduced, you’ll love expanding your brain power with our magnetic tiles, brain flakes, Legos, & marble runs.

Because the projects are arranged in order of complexity, kids can build on their skills as they progress.

The lab will give opportunity to build in step by step fashion with the help of the facilitator.

Have fun with us creating a colorful dot, splash, blot or splat and turning it into a masterpiece. Your artwork can be anything you can imagine!

Are you good at riddles? Are you a super sleuth? Do you like kooky and zany?

Join us for a silly scavenger hunt through the library! Wear your clothes backwards or solve the clues for a silly surprise.

craftdayRe-create a Book Cover Contest Grades K-12

Put your creativity and reading together! Pick out a children’s book that can be found in our children’s department and use the book cover as a model for your artwork. Use paper, paints, crayons, clay, markers, or any other type art medium to make your own version of the cover of the book. Work on it at home, at school, or anywhere you feel creative! Spend a little time or weeks perfecting your art work. It can be an exact copy of the book cover or your own unique take. The work must be created independently.

You must register in person for this event

Entry Deadline: April 20th,  5pm

Viewing and voting will be between April 23 and April 27th, Winner will receive a prize!
