Girls Who Code is a nonprofit organization that teaches girls computer science and programming concepts.Kimball Girls Who Code Club is being run by certified Girls Who Code instructor Ellie Linehan with Pam Livingston and Kathy Watson assisting.

The program will take place here at the library Tuesdays at 6:00 and gets out at 7:15.  Our first club night will be September 22, 2020. It does not cost anything to participate. Registration is required and can be found on the online event calendar.

Last year’s girls created an app on Thunkable.  The opportunities are endless. This is a weekly commitment barring vacation weeks and holidays until May.

We will plan to meet in the meeting room (to the right of the main entrance). To maintain safe social distancing, capacity will be capped at 8 participants. Masks are required.

Questions? Contact Kathy Watson at kwatson@kimballlibrary.com. This event is for girls in grades 5-8. Mature 5th graders, only, please. We will consider savvy high school girls as facilitators for community service hours or special independent projects.
